Splash
Splash gives lasting form to a fleeting movement of water. A rising sheet opens into thin edges and projecting droplets, holding the instant when a fluid surface breaks apart. The contrast between the broad central form and its delicate perimeter supplies the sculpture’s energy.
The subject invites the viewer to move around it. Different angles reveal changing curves, openings, and overlapping surfaces. Through those shifts, a familiar natural event becomes an object of sustained attention, preserving the sense of motion within a stationary form.
