The twelve bronze reliefs at RSA Centennial Hill in Montgomery honor the neighborhood’s history and civil-rights legacy. The project gives people and shared events a lasting presence within the place whose story they help tell.

Relief sculpture allows a broad historical scene to unfold across a surface while preserving the individuality of faces, gestures, and clothing. Figures project into the light, with surrounding details providing context and depth. Together, the panels invite viewers to approach history through human encounters and to recognize the people within the larger narrative.
